The project aims to explore the potential of architecture as a gym to exercise the body and foster exchange between the multiplicity of cultures in London through physical activity. A combination of playful exercise and gardening serves as the principle for engaging with one's own body, the collective, and the site. The roof, designed as a tensegrity structure, mimics the skeletal and fascial systems of the human body. Anchored and spatialized, it creates spaces beneath it and becomes a machine for exercising, utilizing its kinaesthetic aspects. Embedded into the landscape, a central boulevard integrates the laboratory into an already existing system of exercising at the Hampstead Heath Park.
